In the quite of the day, I see the peaceful clouds gently swaying across the sky, the sun is warm and a gentle breeze brushes the hair away from my face.

The sea is at peace today and gently lays itself on the sand and cleanses the beach with each roll of a wave, sometimes it leaves small gifts, perhaps something that a small child could find excitement in, a pebble, a shell or a piece of driftwood from a distant land.

Children see the world different from adults, their ideals and dreams are simple they find pleasure in the gifts of the sea.  I look at the sea and do not understate the fury that it can bring, but when she gently lays a blanket of white foam on the shore, it brings untold peace.

My heart and my breath are slow.

I sense the beauty that I see before me, I hear the wind and the birds that sail on her breath, I smell the fresh, clean salt in the air from the sea, I can taste the salt in my mouth as I breathe and I feel the warmth of the sun and the cool breeze against my skin.

My five senses are opening to the experience, I close my eyes and I am one with my surroundings, I am part of nature.

Humans are meant to be the rulers of this planet, we are meant to govern and protect but we rape the countryside, we destroy the homes of other living creatures, to create homes for ourselves, this is not the act of kind and compassionate rulers but of oppressors.

We here are all one, this is the greatest lesson we need to learn, how can we teach our children about the wonders of life, when we leave behind no wonders for them to find.

The sun plays hide and seek behind a cloud, yet the warmth is still there, the day is nearly closed allowing the night to be born, I am sad to say goodbye to the sun, it brings life and light to the world.

It does not leave without stretching its arms across the horizon to embrace the world and gently kiss the sea goodnight.  The sun sleeps so it can wake afresh and bring life to a new day.

The moon, like a night light in a child’s room, keeps away the fears of the dark, so that we may rest.  I close my eyes in quiet harmony to the heartbeat of tranquil night and silently fall asleep.

With the awakening of the sun, I stir and in the calmness I hear the birds sing their songs of praise as the sun again brings warmth and life, although we are sad to remember the passing of another day, the wonders of a new day can only again bring hope into our hearts.

Give love and thanks that time has not turned its back on us and we can again strive to bring peace into our physical world, to right the wrongs of yesterday and to await the joys of tomorrow.

All of our senses are a gift so that we can appreciate and experience the physical world, if we follow our heartfelt path, then we will be guided home to where our five physical senses become seeing peace, hearing love, breathing purity, tasting contentment and feeling the light embrace and comfort us as a mother would cradle a child with unconditional love.
