Aged 79

Did you ever know how special you were to me?

In the blink of an eye, you were part of my life and then you were gone.  

How do I tell the world about you, how can I make them understand, 

that I never had to look for an angel, because I already had one.  

I am truly sorry for the times I may have hurt you, 

I did not mean to, you are and have always been so precious to me,

 you are the Rainbow after the rain. 

You gave me love that filled my lungs with the breathe of life, 

you held my hand and dried my tears when I was hurting. 

You worried about me, when I did not worry about myself.

 You felt as I did, my joy, my love, my pain. 

You gave me life, you gave me happiness and you taught me so much, 

including there is no such word as "can't".  

You were more than the woman who gave birth to me, 

you gave me so much, that I will carry with me for my lifetime 

and hopefully I will pass on your precious qualities and talents with 

my children and my children's children. 

I will miss you everyday and you never have and never will leave my thoughts.

To place your hand in my hand

To say I love you so you will hear

How precious are the memories that we share

Of times I spent with you

For no one could love you more

Than the way that I do.

Mum passed away on my Dad's birthday, she held out till that date and we may never know the reasons why, perhaps she wanted to celebrate with him in heaven.
